MUSIC

Rough Start is a rising pop-punk band from Central Florida. Their melodies focus on catchy hooks and deep lyrics that touch on tough subjects like suicide, depression, anxiety, social exclusion, loneliness, body dysmorphia and overall mental illness. The band features guitars that deviate from the “simplistic” chord progressions most pop-punk bands tend to use, set against a backdrop of aggressive drums and overall high energy.
Brian Clarke, front man of RS, has been one of Asia’s closest friends since high school. The first project Devin & Asia collaborated on back in 2012 was the band’s first music video. Asia undoubtedly recruited Brian to score the ending of EVOKE, in addition to utilizing the band’s music in the film, as well.
